Don’t Miss The Flamenco Festival In Miami

This year it is the 13th Flamenco Festival, the events which will be held on various dates of March. Some of the highlights of the Flamenco Festival, 2020 include:

  • María Pagés performing Yo, Carmen through which she will encourage all women to raise their voice, who have been long hidden due to their gender. The show will tell a story about what women feel and live through. The story will be weaved through strong choreography expressing emotions of wisdom insecurity, dissatisfaction, loneliness, weakness, love, heartbreaks, maternity, etc.

When: Thursday, March 26

Where: Knight Concert Hall

  • Miguel Poveda – the superstar will be performing live of the stage. He is regarded as a genius in Spain and is blessed with a charm that captivates the audience, such to have them singing to his tunes. The singer takes the audience through interesting traditional forms of flamenco – ranging from cheerful to sorrowful. Be sure to be mesmerized by the singer’s soulful performances along with other artists.

When: Saturday, March 21

Where: Knight Concert Hall

  • Compañía Manuel Liñán performing with an all-male dance group expressing gender identity in a new show deriving inspirations from flamenco women. The show will touch your soul with the sheer simplicity of expression of freedom of movement, gender roles, joy, and enjoyment.

When: Friday, March 27

Where: Knight Concert Hall

  • Stars of Flamenco where the famous flamenco dancers and singers come together to bring you a spectacular evening displaying flamenco’s diversity and vibrancy. The 2020 show will bring together three of the best flamenco dancers – Mercedes Ruíz, María Moreno and Eduardo Guerrero – in a unique amalgamation.

When: Saturday-Sunday, March 28-29

Where: Knight Concert Hall
